About Us

The first “Arrested by Mercy: Caught in the Healing Glance of Jesus” was a collaboration between the Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund and the Divine Mercy Center. This day of reflection was presented at St. Barnabus Catholic Church in Eastpointe, MI on April 18, 2009 under the prayerful direction of Kathy Crombie. At the invitation of The Divine Mercy Center, also in Eastpointe MI, “Arrested by Mercy” became an important day in the weeklong second annual Divine Mercy Conference Week. April 18 was the ninth and last day of the Divine Mercy Novena – the day in the novena when Our Lord told Sr. Faustina,
Today bring to Me the Souls who have become Lukewarm, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My Heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I cried out: 'Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will.' For them, the last hope of salvation is to run to My mercy.
From the moment Kathy was invited to put this day of reflection together,
she prayed for God’s will and direction. Through prayer she understood who
the speakers were to be and their topics – it was very clear. She contacted
them one by one and asked them to pray about their participation. Wrapping
each invitation in prayer, all discerned God’s call and agreed to speak.
Kathy also knew that God was calling her to be one of the speakers, but she
was not clear about what He wanted her to address – in time she understood.
God is calling us all to immerse our country in His Divine Mercy. Since Roe
v. Wade in 1973, the people of the United States have become incredibly
lukewarm with the intentional and needless slaughter of over 50,000,000
aborted unborn babies – the “massacre of the holy innocents.” May God have
mercy!
“Arrested by Mercy: Caught in the Healing Glance of Jesus” simply refers to
how Peter betrayed Our Lord three times before the cock crowed, when Jesus
caught Peter in His glance and forgave/healed a repentant sinner. We, too,
want to be caught in the glance of the Lord – forgiven and healed.
From that first day of reflection on April 18, 2009, an ongoing “Arrested by
Mercy” ministry has been formed in accordance to what we believe is God’s
will and direction in this culture of death – to speak the truth of His
love, mercy, forgiveness and healing. We stand ready to serve and present
“Arrested by Mercy” as we are called and invited.
